For over 35 years, Dr. Michael Dadson has provided thousands of patients with compassionate counselling services. Dr. Mike Dadson has a range of expertise including, treatment of depression, anxiety, and couples. Dr. Dadson specializes in men’s therapy, veterans, first responders, trauma, and group therapy. Dr. Mike Dadson makes his services accessible to everyone – offering therapy for individuals, families, couples, and a variety of different kinds of groups.
Dr. Mike Dadson strongly believes that everyone- regardless of their situation or circumstances- has the ability to manage, solve, heal, and overcome their mental health issues with the combination of professional therapy provided in an environment of empowerment, support and compassion.

Public Interest Highlights
Contact! Unload at Canada House
Dr. Dadson’s public-interest mental health work includes involvement with Contact! Unload, a Canadian research-based theatre initiative exploring military transition, operational stress injuries, trauma recovery, and veteran mental health. The project brought together researchers, clinicians, veterans, universities, public institutions, and community partners to increase public understanding of the psychological effects of trauma and military service.
The initiative has been associated with the University of British Columbia, the Veterans Transition Network, the Canadian High Commission, Canada House in London, Parliament Hill, and public discussions involving military families, veterans, researchers, policymakers, and mental health professionals.

House of Commons Testimony on PTSD and Operational Stress Injuries
In March 2016, Dr. Dadson appeared before the House of Commons Standing Committee on Public Safety and National Security during its study of operational stress injuries and PTSD affecting public safety personnel and first responders. He appeared in his role as Executive and Clinical Director of the Veterans Transition Network, contributing clinical and program-development perspectives related to trauma recovery, veteran transition, and operational stress injuries.
This testimony formed part of a broader national discussion regarding evidence-based approaches to PTSD, trauma-informed care, mental health services, and long-term recovery for veterans, first responders, and public safety professionals.

Dr. Michael “Mike” Dadson, PhD, RCC, CCC, is a Canadian clinical leader, educator, author, clinical supervisor, and public mental health advocate whose career has focused on advancing trauma-informed care through national program development, therapist training, public education, research, and clinical leadership.
He is the former National Executive Director and Clinical Director of the Veterans Transition Network, a past Fellow of the International Society for the Study of Trauma and Dissociation (ISSTD), and the developer of the Sequential Trauma Narrative (STN). For more than two decades, Dr. Dadson has trained, supervised, and mentored therapists while contributing to trauma-informed practice, operational stress injury recovery, and mental health education across Canada.
His public-facing work has included testimony before the House of Commons Standing Committee on Public Safety and National Security, participation in national mental health initiatives, public education programs, media commentary, professional training, and public-interest advocacy related to trauma, PTSD, veterans, first responders, families, and community mental health.
Dr. Dadson currently serves as Clinical Director of Gentle Currents Therapy in Langley, British Columbia. Over a career spanning more than three decades, his clinical work has focused on trauma recovery, PTSD, dissociation, operational stress injuries, men’s mental health, relationship repair, neurofeedback, therapist development, and trauma-informed care for veterans, first responders, helping professionals, individuals, couples, families, and communities.
